Arlo Thompson is a student filmmaker from Denver, Colorado seeking a voice in our culture. Drawing inspiration from Spike Jonze, Sean Baker and Julia Ducornau, Arlo is particularly interested in Horror and Sci-Fi: two genres that identify a issue with the world and stretch it for an audience.

His films often utilize visual storytelling, rhythmic editing, and diagetic sound to create layered narratives with a strong overarching theme. Through an emphasis on mise-en-scene, he aims to confront an audience with their own emotions to incite change.

His work has screened at student film festivals across the United States and internationally, including the All American High School Film Festival in New York City and Ginkgo Film Festival in Beijing. His films have received recognition from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, Humanity Rising Film Festival, and Colorado High School Film Festival. Currently, Arlo is seeking career opportunities while pursuing a BFA in Film & Television Production with an emphasis in Directing at Chapman University.
